Sigmund Winiecki
Sigmund Winiecki has been an MITC member for nearly two decades, growing up on these courts and developing a lifelong love of tennis. A recent graduate of Connecticut College, Sigmund was a four-year varsity player and two-time captain. He earned NESCAC All-Sportsmanship Team, NESCAC All Academic Team, ITA Scholar-Athlete and CSC Academic All-District honors.
Sigmund is PTR and USTA SafePlay certified and has extensive experience with junior tennis, including USTA Junior play beginning at age 8 and two JTT New England championships. He is passionate about helping the next generation of players develop their game and navigate the path toward competitive and college tennis.

Rick Passero
Rick Passero came to MITC three years ago from Northern California, where he served as Tennis Director and Head Teaching Professional at the Sebastopol Tennis Club. He has been teaching tennis to youth and adult players of all levels for 25 years, including the past three years at MITC.
Rick also spent 22 years as a high school tennis coach for both boys' and girls' teams, helping many of his players continue on to collegiate tennis. His teaching philosophy centers on playing with intent and purpose—understanding the right shot for each situation and building consistency, confidence and smart, competitive play.
Creating a fun and positive environment on the court is an important part of Rick's approach. He enjoys helping players develop their skills while learning how to stay positive and composed as they compete.

Tami Vezina
Tami Vezina is a USPTA-certified Level One Elite Instructor who has been teaching tennis for more than 45 years. Her own tennis career began at age 10 at MITC, where she learned the game from the legendary Midge Buck.
Tami played four years of college tennis at Flagler College, earning team MVP honors three times and helping achieve the program's best record during her four years. She was ranked No. 2 in New England women's open singles, qualified for two USTA Women's 5.0 National Championships and finished second in the nation in her first appearance. She is also a six-time New Hampshire state champion.
Tami holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Flagler College, with a double major in Business and Spanish. Her decades of playing and teaching experience allow her to work with players of a wide range of ages and abilities.
